What is TENCEL™ Modal, exactly?
TENCEL™ Modal fibres are made by Lenzing AG from sustainably harvested beechwood, sourced from FSC® or PEFC-certified forests. It's certified OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 Class I — free from harmful chemicals and safe even for a baby's skin — and produced with over 50% less carbon emissions and water than bamboo, cotton or polyester.
Why not bamboo?
TENCEL™ Modal absorbs moisture faster and releases it more efficiently than bamboo, keeping you cooler and drier. It's also more durable — it holds its softness, doesn't shrink, and keeps its colour wash after wash, where bamboo tends to fade and wear out sooner.
Should I get Boxer Briefs or Trunks?
Boxer Briefs have a 15 cm leg for maximum chafe protection — best if you're active or on your feet all day. Trunks have a shorter 10 cm leg for a cleaner fit under shorts. Both share the Willie Pouch, Handy Fly and TENCEL™ Modal fabric.
